So - Here's what i did earlier.

So part of my project was to create adshel's that sold Rene Magrittes Surreal exhibition at the Tate northern. trying to get into his work was soooo hard, How could you advertise a product you don't understand?
It's not that it's hard to understand, it's trying to think out of the box but doing that is psychological, the more you try think out of the box, you never will!

Being different makes the world go round.

Have you ever walked through a busy street, and randomly had people stare at you making you feel something's not right?
That's something that grinds my gears... people's general ignorance.

So, if people stare at me whilst I'm walking down the street. - I smile at them, you know why?
IT CONFUSES PEOPLE. - try it.

In all seriousness, there is nothing wrong with me, i don't have a disability. I don't have missing limbs. In fact im just like every other average Joe Blogg. But one think i'm definitely not.
and that's normal.

There's no such thing as being normal in such a diverse community we all live in these days.

Being different is what the makes the world go round. Imagine if we was all the same type of person, how death defying that would make you.

Some people like, cars, some like sport. some like toys, and some like computers. each to their own i say.

amazing video - say's it all.

DON'T LOSE WHO YOU ARE.

I don't watch telly... i watch adverts!

So, i've come to the conclusion that i no longer watch telly, i watch adverts.
I don't know why, but im addicted. looking at the different concepts that are out there.
it's like watching Ant & Dec's Saturday night takeaway on the advert game thing! Wheeeeeeey.

Some of the major TV adverts and campaigns out there at the moment are amazing,
keeping my eyes open around the net I've scoured the net and got some of (in my opinion) the best ads.

Cadbury catch up.

This advert/campaign is just generally awesome, It's saying what everyone is thinking!
Since society has been commercialised, and been made into a materialistic state take a step back and do the things you would of done before we all got made to be technological robots.

Tmobile - Shit network... Amazing Tv adverts.
It does what it say on the tin to be honest. T mobile have done a range of different adverts covering topics to singing in an airport to randomers, to a mass sing off in London. The thing i like about these ads, the that they are so precise, involving random members of the public and making people feel good, The slogan - Life's for sharing is down to a tee on these.

On another note, The John Lewis Adverts always get to me, not in a bad way obv. but just how good they are, the little things that count. have a look at these adverts and you'll get my drift.

Lucozade -
Lucozade have stepped up the game too, their adverts are becoming more and more increasingly catchy, the tunes they use, the art direction, have a look at these 2 vids. you'll see what i mean.

Some of what i;ve seen over the past few weeks and my rating of them!

Weetabix - AMAZING

Haribo - DIE

Skoda - Creative.

Fosters - It's Ok.

Project 1 // Rene Magritte - Surrealism.

So, I went back to uni. Semester 1 Year 2.
and have a brand spanking new project.

I think it's challenging, but yet mind boggling!

It's all about Advertising the world of Rene Magritte at the Tate Northern in Liverpool.
I've heard of him, but not much, His work is so hard to understand.
I take note that he's a surrealist, and see's the bigger picture in life by thinking out of the box.

But  as an outsider looking into his work, you could get lost and come out at the other end
seriously head thrashed! Have a look below at some of his work.

One of his images got me thinking of how people actually see things in general, I mean take a look what's infront of you, analyse that in depth and think about it's back ground. Like where it came from, how it was made, when it was made.

This image is the one that got me thinking, The French words say "this is not a pipe"

In all seriousness, That isn't a pipe.
it's a painting of a pipe.

Influential People.

So being a creative person,
I always scour the net like it's a new thing,
I so the usual, check Facebook like it's a news paper.
watch the news and find about current affairs. the usual, you know?

But one thing, my other half has been a massive influence on me,
by introducing me to stumbleupon.com. I cannot get this site.
IT'S SO ADDICTIVE.  Everything i find, i think it's amazing.
but beside that, he's a massive influence on me because he's sooooo creative,
everything he does has a creative aspect to it.

Some more people who have a good influence on me, are people like....

http://andreirobu.com - ANDREI ROBU - TYPO
http://www.wordsarepictures.co.uk/ - CRAIG WARD - GRAPHICS
http://www.banksy.co.uk/ - BANKSY  - YOU KNOW HIM

http://alexolmsted.carbonmade.com/ ALEX OLMSTED. - CREATIVE DIRECTOR. (gave me some brilliant advice)

see life like this. - glass//half full//half empty.

Lettering and Typography

I have a massive interest in typography.
I don't know why, but i think it's so interesting how
a bit of text can form an amazing piece of art.

One designer i've been following is Andrei Robu.
He's work is so detailed and out of this world.

whenever i see his work, it gets my creative juices flowing.

Here is some of his work. http://andreirobu.com

each image says the same thing, but done with different fonts and text.

Some images i found online on google imges are just as good.
infact they are so good, there not just a piece of work, it's a major work of art.

in all seriousness, forget i mentioned i liked it,
and looked at it like you've never seen anything like this before.
how amazing is it?
Think of the detail, and how creative this is.
WOW.

another brilliant example of this imagery is from Steve Butabi.
this text image shows lots of thing,
how detailed is it?
how much time and effort went into it?
The shading and colouring.

all the above, are from one guy, he's called Craig ward.
He's work is also inspiring.
so intricate and detailed.
but yet again so time consuming.
He also has a website too.

Moving on from Typo now, onto lettering.
as much as i love typo, lettering is just as good!

again, see how much detail goes into these pieces of art?

it must take so much to get it perfect.
if you working on a piece of art like this, you would soon
become a perfectionist, - if you wasn't already.

HOMEMADE TYPO.
A close friend of mine followed a Photoshop tutorial, and this was his outcome.

He used 4 different fonts, with the text saying PAUL.
also a colour overlay, and a rang of brushes.
pretty damn cool i'd say.

I made a piece of typo.
clearly, i need lots of practice.

Re-branded logo's - What the future holds.

History in the making!!
So amazing of how companies are so recognised these days that they can now take half of their logo's and only show part of it and still be recognised.

I think peoples perceptions of logo's are helping companies makes trends happen.

simply amazing.
